WTF is the Tarot?

When I first started doing Tarot card readings the first question was usually, "WTF is the Tarot?" and the one that followed was "Are you Psychic?"

Now, the answers may vary depending on who you ask, however, I see the Tarot as a tool and just like any other tool, it all depends on how its used.

But, since you are here I am going to give you my take on the Tarot.

The Tarot is comprised of 78 cards. 22 Major Arcana's which are the BIG energies of the deck (karmic/spiritual lessons) and 56 Minor Arcana's which strengthen or weaken the BIG energies. I have used various versions of the Tarot and no other Tarot card deck speaks to me the way The Moonchild Tarot does to date. The look, feel, imagery and symbolism speak to me in different ways at different times depending on the messages that are attempting to shine through. The perception, interpretation and presentation of these messages is what makes the Tarot an art.

The Tarot can be used to assist with self-discovery, self-reflection, self-development, making choices, manifesting, coaching, meditating etc. "While many people believe that the Tarot will tell you the future, making predictions are not really what the Tarot cards are about" (Biddy). To me, the Tarot is about intuition; that knowing that you know with out knowing how you know it energy and the ability to present those messages in such a way that awakens a part of you that generates self-actualization and exploration. To put it simply, you know those "Holy Shit" moments that happen throughout life when synchronicities happen? or when someone says something to you that hits home? That's the heart of the Tarot. Its you, looking at you from a different perspective.
